Handcrafted Leather

Sheepskins and other hides are traditionally and laboriously hand tanned using natural barks and fats. These hides are salvaged from waste streams where they would otherwise end up in landfills. Sustainable, chemical free comfort crafted with reverence for the animals, earth, and lifeways that sustain them.

Every year, millions of sheepskins are sent to landfills. Our systems have become unsustainable and we no longer value using the whole animal as our ancestors once did.

These rugs will outlast their synthetic counterparts, are chemical and petroleum free, and when they do finally reach the end of their life, they are completely biodegradable. In ideal conditions, a sheepskin rug can break down in four months. Synthetic rugs, however, can take thousands of years to fully decompose.

All hides are sourced from local and humane farms.
