fish skin leather

As a leatherworker, my two hands process every single material I use. Every material has a story and connection to my specific ecological landscape on the Oregon coast. The salmon that return to these rivers are transformed into leather by the same plants growing on the riverbanks when they were born. This is a closed loop, a circle turning, a story that eats itself only to be born again and again.
